Kongsberg Innovasjon brings in four new profiles, marking a clear shift in pace for its focus on growth companies and dual-use technology — solutions that can serve both civilian and defense sectors. The new hires include serial entrepreneurs, former venture investors, and professionals with deep experience in industry and tech development. Now, they’re bringing that expertise to help the next generation of tech companies succeed.
Our portfolio of industrial growth companies is showing strong progress, and the industry is increasingly turning its attention to Kongsberg. We’re strengthening our team to prepare for several major initiatives — including new funds, dual-use tech programs, and scaling support,” says COO Mats Hagland. “With this team, we’re ready to create even more industrial success stories.
The four new hires are Jonas Rinde, Oisin Zimmermann, Claes Gunnarson, and Kristine Eide Moe.
Jonas Rinde is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with experience from both startups and major tech corporations. He’s been involved with Huddly and Nomono, and has held leadership roles at Tandberg, Cisco, and Acano. At Kongsberg Innovasjon, he joins as a venture builder, working closely with growth companies on strategy, positioning, and commercialization.
I’m excited and highly motivated to help take Kongsberg Innovasjon to the next level by sharing 20+ years of experience in the tech industry. Helping startups scale from idea to global leaders is what drives me — and there’s a lot of exciting momentum here! – says Rinde.
Oisin Zimmermann joins from EQT Group, where he worked as Principal Product Manager on the firm’s AI platform, Motherbrain. He has also held director roles at DNB and Telenor and served as CTO at fintech startup K33. At Kongsberg Innovasjon, he will lead the dual-use program, supporting innovation across the Nordic defense sector.
I’m thrilled to join Kongsberg Innovasjon at such a pivotal time for the Nordic defense space. There’s never been a better time to start and scale defense companies, and KI is uniquely positioned to help founders seize this incredible opportunity.
Claes Gunnarson comes from Kjeller Innovasjon, where he led the incubator and focused on early-stage investments. With experience from both startups and corporate environments like Telenor and Atea, he will work to scale new industrial growth companies.
Kristine Eide Moe joins from BI Norwegian Business School, where she stood out as a top student employee in the marketing and recruitment team. She also brings experience from the energy startup Motkraft. At KI, she will work alongside Rinde and Gunnarson on commercialization and scaling.
I had no idea how exciting and meaningful a career path Kongsberg Innovasjon could be. As a young, ambitious person, I’ve already been given opportunities many graduates can only dream of. I hope to help more people discover this path. There’s so much happening at KI right now — and this is just the beginning, says Moe.
